Once you pay, the administrative work begins, whatever the outcome or your later plans.

How to dispute a payment

Your bank, not Indonesian immigration, reverses a failed or fraudulent charge.

    Keep every record

    Transaction IDs, dates and screenshots of any error.

    Contact portal support

    Use the e-Visa portal's support channels for issues on its side.

  3. 03

    Call your bank

    Its fraud or dispute team handles failed payments, with your proof.

  4. 04

    Request a chargeback

    If your card was used without consent, your card issuer reverses it.

Prevention

Avoid needing a refund

Most lost fees trace back to a mistake made before paying.

  • Check every passport detail: name, number and date of birth.
  • Your passport needs six months of validity from entry.
  • Confirm your nationality is VOA-eligible and the VOA fits your purpose.
  • Apply well ahead of travel in case of technical glitches.

Applied for the wrong visa? The VOA fee is not credited towards another visa type.
